Resolution

Hi. My name is Kayla. I have a problem. I am addicted to Diet Coke. I've been drinking it for about 12 years, and usually have 2 cans a day. As of today, my body has been free of diet coke for ONE WHOLE WEEK!! woohoo! Only 2 diet cokes in the past 2 weeks to be exact. I decided to quit when we were in Mexico. Willy inspired me. He used to drink ALOT of diet coke, so he could relate to that feeling of craving a diet coke, he could relate to that feeling of going somewhere for the wkend and you wonder to yourself where you were going to get the next diet coke...so sometimes you plan ahead and bring some along! He also knows the psychological affects of drinking something that gives you no sugar guilt and yet gives your body a burst of energy. He never drinks it anymore....even when they have pizza. yikes. I really want to do this, so I'm thinking I'd better be strict about it too. It's hard. I'm drinking more tea and carbonated water. Shelley, are you proud of me? :) Ok, that's it for my diet-coke-anonymous therapy session. It does feel good to admit it...and begin the road to recovery. hee hee. Good luck to all of you out there keeping your resolutions!

You can do it. Honestly, you won't even miss it once a few months have gone by... and I dare say, you might not even crave it.

That said... I'm a Diet Coke junky myself, but I'm not to the point where I HAVE to have one every day or even every week. I like to have it when we go out to eat for pizza. I've also enjoyed the new Diet Coke Plus - might as well get vitamins and minerals if I'm drinking it anyway, dontcha think? :) What a stroke of marketing genius, THAT is.

Wow...you have much stronger will power than I do. I share your diet coke addiction....I love the cherry diet. I especially drink more at work....cuz it keeps me going when it gets busy. Maybe I won't need it as much when I switch to my new job....not sure I can get rid of it yet though! I'll try not to indulge in front of you! :)

Oh that's great! Just think about how much better you'll eventually feel...right? I've never been addicted to pop of any kind so I'm not sure what you're going through, but there are plenty of other things to drink for sure. My addiction is coffee. Who'd a thought that a woman, aged 30 but looks like a girl aged 17, would drink coffee?
